On World Mental Health Day, Wokingham Town are working with Mind in Berkshire to launch a campaign for the season called #MoreThanFootball to help raise mental health awareness, especially within sport and what services are there to help.
Throughout the season, the club will be working alongside Mind to highlight local support groups and services to help those that need it by creating more mental health awareness content across our widely followed social media channels, putting them to good use.
Everyone has mental health regardless of how well you are coping, and as a club family and community we need to let everyone know that we are here for you.
Locally to Wokingham Town FC, Mind in Berkshire operates a range of services including:
• Wokingham Wellbeing Service
Our Wellbeing Workers offer free one-to-one sessions which will help you to put practical things in place that can help you manage everyday stress and wellbeing difficulties.

• Supported Self Help
Supported Self Help is a free, 6 week programme. We give you the materials to understand and manage your feelings, as well as calling regularly to give you support. You don’t need a GP referral to sign-up.

At Wokingham Town FC, we are a family and we are here to listen and support those that may be struggling. We will continue to elevate the coverage of local projects and services throughout the season. Both on and off the pitch, we are about More Than Football.
