The U9 Lions have done it the hard way. Having completed a difficult group stage, we moved onto the Quarter Finals of the Trophy competition with hope the boys would make it to the final. Thankfully the boys went all the way, but only after 2 nerve wracking penalty shootouts and plenty of drama!

The QF was a tightly contested affair, however, the Lions were so close to scoring several times before the full time whistle. Having drawn 0-0, we moved onto a penalty shootout. Thankfully our keeper managed to save 2 penalties and we progressed to the Semi's.

The semi final was a similar game. The Lions just couldn't get the ball in the back of the net, which unfortunately led to another nervous shootout. Once again, goalkeeping heroics helped us prevail as we moved onto the final.

The final was a fantastic game to watch. It was 0-0 going into the final couple of minutes until the Lions super sub, scored an absolute worldie, to send the crowd jubilant and the Lions to victory!!
